【Finance】Manager/Analyst､Finance BP

The Commercial business analysis and decision support team provides finance business partnering support to Japan Commercial business functions. Core deliverables include: Providing robust､ quality month end financial information to business teams; provide challenge to forecasts to ensure these are based on sound planning assumptions & resource decisions are prioritised & optimised both across the function / Commercial finance; deliver adequate financial input & analysis to support individuals & teams to make effective business decisions.

The roles are seen as experts in the execution and delivery of data and analysis to support business decisions. They will operate flexibly and efficiently to reduce lower value finance activities enabling excellence and new ways of working. They are Japan local roles covering all financial activity across function.

The Business Analyst will be viewed by finance and business customers as experts in the execution and delivery of data and analysis to support business decisions. The role includes the following key components:

Business Strategy & Decision Support
*To provide support to key business & investment decisions､ coordinating data collection from a variety of sources and formats､ providing analysis in support of business options､ and enabling appropriate decision making by Finance Business Partners
*Providing accurate､ high quality financial analysis in support of business decision making for multiple Finance Business Partners
*Delivering ad hoc financial analyses in support of Japan Commercial Finance Business Partners､ and the Financial Planning and Analysis team 必須
*Japan Business decisions to be supported would include (based on value & risk): Strategic change programmes､ investment propositions (including organizational re-shaping exercises)､ sourcing strategies and sourcing decisions､ commercial and/or procurement endeavours

Business Performance
*To be accountable for complex､ manual accounting journals､ to communicate monthly performance､ and provide analytical and data collection support to business planning processes
*Producing monthly financial management information､ explanation of variances to budget､ and commentary for key finance and business customers
*Reviewing and challenging more complex､ business area specific ､ month end journals and devising appropriate､ efficient processes to support those journals
*Working with Finance Business Partners､ Finance Managers and Business Customers to prepare accurate forecasts to support regular and ad hoc business updates､ using appropriate leading edge､ modelling tools
*Co-ordinating ad hoc data collection activities on behalf of Finance Business Partners and Finance Managers

Continuous Improvement､ Coaching & Governance
*To support continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities and to ensure compliance with financial governance and control frameworks as appropriate.
*Identifying opportunities to improve working practices and processes in the Commercial Business Analysis and Decision Support team
*Ensuring compliance with AZ Financial Controls Framework and SOX 必須 for month end processes
*Coaching new Business and Junior Analysts in their provision of support to finance planning and business cases

≪Candidate Knowledge､ Skills & Experience≫
■Required:
*Qualified finance professional or equivalent with strong analytical skills and a delivery focus.
*Proficient in the use of SAP systems & exposure to general office and other finance data warehouse e.g. Business Objects
*Strong Excel skills
*Basic understanding of functional cost drivers & product revenue drivers
■Desirable:
*Experience of working in a global organisation､ preferably within the pharmaceuticals industry､ and of the drug development life cycle and commercial aspects of the industry
*Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with senior managers
*Experience of working in a customer facing role demonstrating potential finance business partnering capabilities
*Good cultural awareness､ exposure to global working
